Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard treated NBA fans to an amazing three-point barrage in the second quarter of Monday’s Game 2 matchup against the Denver Nuggets. With Lillard’s half-court heroics on full display, Basketball News contributor Spencer Davies put together a chart that highlighted just how dangerous the Blazers’ marquee player is from beyond 30 feet.
According to the chart, Lillard led the NBA in three-point conversions from beyond 30 feet. In the 2020-21 regular season, Lillard converted 45 of his 130 deep three-point attempts. Warriors star Steph Curry was the only other player to attempt more than 100 30-foot three-pointers last season. Outside of Lillard and Curry, it is clear that Hawks guard Trae Young is quickly approaching the same territory.
