ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – For the second time, a loaded gun’s been found abandoned along Ithaca’s Spencer Road.
Ithaca Police responded to a call Monday afternoon on a report of a citizen who’d located a handgun.
The firearm was secured and was found loaded and with the safety off.
This is the second time in the last month a loaded firearm was found on Spencer Road – the last one found by a child.
An investigation is ongoing, and IPD requests anyone with information regarding the firearm to contact them right away.
