Christmas Day will be mostly sunny and unseasonably cold with a high near 58 and a low around 35, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
A lot will happen before then, though.
The high Wednesday is expected to be a sunny 76, the low 59, and Christmas Eve will start out with similarly warm weather. But by 2 p.m., gusty storms are expected to build followed by a rain chance of 70 percent and south southeast winds from 7 mph to 17 mph and gusts of 20 mph.
The chance of rain remains at 70 percent Thursday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., with wind gusts of up to 28 mph, before Christmas Day dawns clear and cold.
