A number of roads across the Charlotte area will be closed as the North Carolina Department of Transportation begins construction projects. Starting June 1, crews will begin replacing the Stanly County bridge on Bethany Road over Town Creek. The existing bridge, built in 1954, will be replaced with a 70-foot long cored slab structure. The contractor will have until the end of September to complete the project. Detours will be in place along U.S..

ROCK HILL, S.C. Rock Hill Schools students have all been safely dismissed as law enforcement continues to search for a suspect accused of murder and attempted murder.
Authorities are searching for a man believed to be Tyler Terry, a suspect accused of murder and attempted murder.
The York County Sheriff s Office, assisted by the Rock Hill Police Department, the Chester County Sheriff s Office South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, are searching a wooded area adjacent to Rock Hill High School, which is located at 320 West Springdale Road near the interchange of U.S. Route 21 and Interstate 77, according to officials. The search area extends as far south as Fire Tower Road.

Drivers surely can think of a treacherous intersection on their commute, or maybe even a location near their home.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation uses a methodology to rank the state’s intersections, weighing crashes that resulted in injuries higher than those that just left property damage.
MassDOT’s most recent report, the 2017 Top Crash Locations Report, which was released in September, can be used as a first brush tool to evaluate top crash locations and improve road safety, according to the agency. The report focuses on intersections and is based on crashes entered into the Registry of Motor Vehicles’ Crash Data System.
County Sheriff A Tri-State cab driver reported at 5:32 a.m. Sunday she had transported a woman to a home on Waterford Road, Unity Township, and when they arrived the woman got out of the cab and did not pay her. Deputies spoke to the woman, who then paid the driver. Deputies and highway patrol troopers responded to a Georgetown Road, Knox Township, where a domestic dispute was reported. Both people involved claimed they had only been arguing and there was no domestic violence. The woman signed a refusal to prosecute and the man was given a ride to Minerva. A possible fight was reported in the area of Washington Street and Jackson Alley in Washingtonville at 1:08 a.m., April 24. Two intoxicated women told deputies they had been outside and yelling. They were told to stay inside for the rest of the night.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The trial for a Cincinnati-area priest accused of raping a 10-year-old altar boy three decades ago is being delayed again, FOX19 NOW has confirmed.
This the third time the trial of Father Geoff Drew, 59, has been postponed in the past 14 months, court records show.
He has pleaded not guilty to nine counts of rape and faces life in prison if convicted.
Father Drew’s trial was delayed as well last fall, on Oct. 13, 2020, to Monday at the request of both prosecutors and Drew’s defense attorney, Brad Moermond.
