Man arrested for illegally carrying semi-automatic rifle on Mukilteo ferry By AP News Staff MUKILTEO, Wash. - Washington state troopers say they arrested a man who carried a semi-automatic rifle aboard a ferry in Mukilteo. The 39-year-old man walked onto the M/V Tokitae around 7:43 p.m. Wednesday, as passengers boarded for a trip to Whidbey Island, the Seattle Times reported. Ferry workers called authorities when they saw ammunition partially concealed on the man, said Trooper Kevin Fortino, spokesperson for the State Patrol’s homeland security unit. The captain held the vessel at the dock, while the man entered a restroom, Fortino said. About 10 troopers responded, and found the man’s AR-15 style weapon was partly or fully concealed, Fortino said.

The investigation began after several people reported inappropriate contact by the man during chiropractic sessions in recent months. Detectives said there may be more victims who have not come forward. The Snohomish man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of six counts of indecent liberties. Snohomish Police said no additional details are being released at this time. A suspected drug dealer was arrested after leading Snohomish County Sheriff s deputies on a high-speed chase along I-5 then crashing in Marysville Wednesday morning. A deputy attempted to pull over the 33-year old driver around 2:30 a.m. on I-5 North near 4th Street in Marysville for suspicion of DUI, said Courtney O Keefe with the Snohomish County Sheriff s Office. The deputy also had reason to believe the driver was wanted for assault in an incident last week where he smashed into a deputy s patrol car while trying to run from police.
