Centre County Adds 33 COVID-19 Cases; Pennsylvania Reports 2,356

Pennsylvania added 2,356 cases, bringing its total to 922,990. The county also had 37 additional negative test results, increasing its total to 60,774. Across Pennsylvania there were 8,653 new negatives for a total of 3,843,793. DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents for the fourth consecutive day, keeping the county’s total at 208. With 81 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide Pennsylvania’s total is now 23,868. Mount Nittany Medical Center is currently treating 14 COVID-19 inpatients, unchanged from Wednesday. The patients range in age from 19 to 84, according to a hospital spokesperson. Across Pennsylvania, 1,962 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, including 421 in intensive care and 229 on ventilators.

Overdue snowshoer found alive in Boulder County Boulder County Sheriff s Office and last updated 2021-02-23 01:27:47-05 BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — Boulder County search crews found a woman alive more than 30 hours after she headed out to snowshoe. The 47-year-old woman left Boulder Sunday morning to go snowshoeing on the Jenny Creek Trail. She started at the Eldora Nordic Center shortly after 9:30 a.m. She was expected to return by Sunday afternoon, but a concerned family member called Boulder County Communications Center around 9 a.m. Monday when it was discovered she hadn t returned. Search and rescue crews began searching around the Jenny Creek Trail. After approximately eight hours on the ground and in the air, ground searchers found her alive about 200 feet off the trail.
