Formed slightly more than a decade ago, the duo formerly known as Mandolin Orange is the joint effort of singer/songwriter Andrew Marlin and musician Emily Frantz. Climate forecasters say this is no fluke, that we’re on the road to a climate more akin to Arkansas than Harrisburg’s past norms.
If that’s the case, it makes sense when picking our annual flowers each spring to lean toward choices best equipped to handle increased heat.
1/1 FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a Hampshire village last night to battle a blaze at a wooden construction building. Just after 11pm last night, crews from seven stations rushed to Strawberry Field in East Boldre where a fire had started in a wooden structure. The building included three propane cyclinders and was said to be well alight by the time firefighters arrived. Eight pumps were needed to battle the blaze along with four jets, hose reels, breathing apparatus and an aerial ladder platform. Crews from Beaulieu, Lymington, Hardley, Brockenhurst, Hythe, New Milton and Lyndhurst all attended the incident. The cylinders were removed from the building and support vehicles from St Mary s, Romsey, Eastleigh and Ringwood also attended.
