Names may be similar to other members of the community. • John Cristin Baker, 49, of Strawberry Plains, was charged March 3 with simple possession and public intoxication. He was held. • Brandon Tyler Bales, 21, of 828 Oliver Ave., Seymour, was charged March 2 with interference with emergency calls and aggravated domestic assault. He was released on $3,500 bond. • Jacob Below, 21, of Sevierville, was charged March 3 with DUI, speeding and violation of implied consent law. He was held.

She was released. • Peggy Ann Brackins, 32, of 3779 Tinker Hollow Road in Pigeon Forge, was charged Feb. 27 with DUI, implied consent, and driving on a suspended license. She was being held in lieu of $2,500 bond. • Krystal Burns, 23, of Strawberry Plains, was charged Feb. 28 with aggravated domestic assault. She was being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.

THURSDAY: A funeral service for the 26-year-old Kentucky man killed Monday at a Nyrstar zinc mine in Knox County will be held Friday night in Harlan, Ky. Corey Scott Maggard, of Corbin, Ky., died Monday afternoon in the incident at the Immel mine in the Strawberry Plains area of Knox County.  The federal Mining Safety and Health Administration is investigating. Maggard was a Harlan native and devoted University of Kentucky Wildcats fan and NASCAR fan, according to his obituary.
