Suspicious Vehicle Charged With Stay-At-Home Violation

Strathroy, ON, Canada / 105.7 Strathroy Today Jan 22, 2021 11:47 AM On Thursday, Strathroy-Caradoc Police received a call to investigate an unplated suspicious vehicle believed to be in contravention of the Stay-At-Home Order under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act. The driver was seen at several addresses within Strathroy for non-essential travel. The same vehicle was also seen the previous day doing the same but was not found at that time. Police conducted a vehicle stop where the officer was able to both recognize, and act upon a clear violation of the current order. As a result, a 33-year-old female from Watford has been charged an $875 fine for Individual-fail to comply with a provincial order.
