Winter storm headed for NYC: Express buses, S.I. Railway could see service reductions

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Residents who rely on express buses or the Staten Island Railway (SIR) can expect service reductions and delays in the coming days as New York City braces itself for up to a foot of snow.
On Tuesday, the MTA outlined preparations that the agency has made in advance of the coming storm, which is expected to dump between six to 12 inches of snow on the New York metropolitan area.
