Obituary - Gerald Edwin Manack Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home, Screven Chapel Jerry Manack of Sylvania, Georgia, passed away February 11, 2021. He was 89 years old. He was surrounded by his family.     Jerry was born in Sylvania, Georgia, and lived there throughout his life.     He was married to Kay Daughtry Manack, who preceded him in death in 2001.     He owned and operated a timber business throughout his career and retired on his tree farm in Screven County.     Jerry was proud of his Italian heritage his father’s original surname was Magnacca as was reflected in his high-spiritedness and passion for life.     His love of the outdoors and the beauty of nature were prevalent throughout his life, and he was a skilled hunter. He passed away at home on January 29, 2021, at the age of 65.     Growing up, Greg shared a fun and boisterous childhood with his two brothers, Gary and Tommy. Greg excelled in sports as a young man. He attended Statesboro High School and graduated in 1973.     After school, Greg quickly settled into the trade of plumbing, where he became a well-respected master plumber.     He married Carol in 1990 and went on to raise two daughters, Gina and Hollie.

Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel Mrs. Argentina Raymond Ward, age 88, received her heavenly wings on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Ga.     Mrs. Argentina Raymond Ward was born on October 22, 1932, in Pulaski, Georgia, to the late Jake and Janie Johnson Lovett.     Eight children were born in her union to the late Mr. Gabe “BJ” Raymond.     Argene, as she was affectionately called by all who loved her, was a talented seamstress, a hard worker, loved God, loved to cook, always had a smile, loved her church and loved to sing. She was a member of the Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Chorus until her health failed.
