TORONTO, May 28, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) Shawcor Ltd. ( Shawcor or the Company ) (TSX: SCL) announced today that Steve Orr will retire as Chief Executive Officer and director of the Company effective June 1, 2021. Current President, Mike Reeves, will succeed him and will also be appointed as a director on that date. Following his retirement, Mr. Orr will continue to support the Company in an advisory role.
Steve joined Shawcor in 2013 as President and was appointed President and CEO in May of 2014. Under his leadership, Shawcor has prioritized employee health & safety, diversified its portfolio of technology and products, embraced opportunities to lead positive change around environmental, social and governance matters and has become a fundamentally more efficient organization.

A NEW 12,000-word document setting out Economy Minister Diane Dodds’ vision for the next decade has been criticized for omitting any reference to the Irish protocol or the all-island economy.
Presenting the 10X Economy: An Economic Vision for a decade of innovation paper yesterday, Ms Dodds spoke of her vision as being “purposefully bold and ambitious”.
A summary of the report said the north is “facing a once in a generation opportunity to reshape the economy in a way that we have never before been able to achieve”.

Economy Minister Diane Dodds has launched a new economic vision which she says will lead to better jobs, wages and quality of life for people in Northern Ireland.
Mrs Dodds said her department would take a number of steps to ensure that the area can compete with other small economies on a global stage.
Mrs Dodds said: “Our economy has already been dramatically reshaped by the Covid-19 pandemic and the past year has highlighted the resilience and creativity of the business community.
I learned about the Department for the Economy s new ten-year economic plan by listening to Radio Ulster this morning. This must be what being an MLA is like.

Thank you. I d like to welcome everyone to Gatos Silver year-end and Q4 2020 earnings call. So turning to Slide No. 3. Our initial public offering in October of 2020 raised 173 million of proceeds to continue adding value to Gatos Silver s Cerro Los Gatos mine in the Los Gatos district. In March, we completed the purchase of 18.5% additional interest in the Los Gatos district and we now are 70%b owner of the entire district.
