Letters to the editor: Martin Luther King, COVID-19 vaccine

Register-Guard Not so good  I just read that Oregon had 29 more deaths in Friday s paper. So, I wanted to see how our vaccinations were going. Not so good if you are in the highest mortality age range.   Out of our more than 1,700 deaths here in Oregon, 91% are 60 and older, yet the 60-and-older crowd has only received 23% of the vaccine. Fix this statistic, and deaths rates will significantly go down, I would think.  Jade McAllister, Eugene  Elders are most vulnerable, vaccinate them before educators  Gov. Kate Brown might check the needle on her moral compass if she believes it s OK for more older Oregonians to die from COVID-19 in order to reopen the public schools.
