WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) â Engineers in Wausau are ready to start planning a new look for Stewart Avenue on the cityâs west side.
Engineer Allen Wesolowski says that will involve a complete reconstruction from 48th Avenue to 72nd. While they wonât start the process for a few years, they do want to carefully plan the project to make sure they get it right.
That starts with a public information meeting on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 at city hall.
Wesolowski says theyâre hoping to cast a wide net for ideas to make the street more user-friendly. âWeâll be looking at everything from a typical cross-section to see how much lane width we need, bicycle accommodations, pedestrian accommodations, we will be gathering information on all that.â
