HUBBARD Police are investigating a accident in which a red Chevy Blazer ran into a building in the 300 block of Stewart Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. today.
According to a Trumbull County 911 report, a caller walked over to the accident site this morning and saw there was no one inside the vehicle, which had its airbag deployed. The report also noted a pole was cracked and a guy wire was torn off the building.
The driver of the Blazer was reported running east on Furlen Court, the report states. A man at a Youngstown Hubbard road address called 911 shortly after 2:30 a.m. to report the driver, a 22-year-old man, had walked home and had a mouthful of blood. An ambulance was called to tend to the driver, the report states.

Storm brings extended free parking options
City officials have extended free parking in Evanston s three downtown garages though Sunday night at midnight as the second snow storm in a week arrives in town.

City officials have extended free parking in Evanston’s three downtown garages though Sunday night at midnight as the second snow storm in a week arrives in town.
They say the garages are only about half full now and can accommodate many more cars.
The city is also asking for voluntary compliance with snow route parking restrictions overnight from 11 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Friday.

AN INVESTIGATION has begun after an incident in Cookstown last night (Monday 1st February) where damage was caused to a property and a vehicle.
Police responded to a report, made just before 9:30pm, of a fire at an address on Stewart Avenue to assist NIFRS colleagues.
When officers arrived at the scene they found the window of a car parked outside the address had been smashed, while the front door of the property had sustained scorch damage.

Detective Inspector Robinson said: “We believe the damage caused to the front door of the property may have been as a result of a petrol bomb. Thankfully, the damage to the house was contained to the front door, and the male occupant inside the house was not injured.

Only about half of snow routes plowed to the curb so far, city says.
That prohibits parking on main thoroughfares marked snow routes from 11 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Emergency sirens will sound at 8:15 p.m. tonight to remind residents of the Snow Route Parking Ban.
Daytime snow emergency parking restrictions on side streets will remain in effect today and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Don’t park on the side of the street with even-numbered addresses today. And don’t park on the odd-numbered side Wednesday.

Most streets with parking on one side only now have permanent “ODD date” or “EVEN date” signs that allow them to be plowed during Snow Emergencies. Please follow the posted signage.
Grand jury indicts 14 people on felony charges
John Gerdau Jr. charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor

A Cambridge man accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a minor victim was one of 14 people recently indicted by a Guernsey County Common Pleas Court Grand Jury.
John Cecil Gerdau Jr., 36, faces one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor or corruption of a minor, a third-degree felony.
The offense for which Gerdau was charged was committed on Dec. 17, according to the court s online records.
An initial charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor was filed by Cambridge Police on Dec. 22. As part of the bond, Gerdau was prohibited from having contact with the alleged victim or a Stewart Avenue property.
