May 4, 2021 Dorothy M. Dimond, 95, of Altoona, formerly of Lakemont, passed away Sunday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Alban and Mary (Kyle) Dimond. Dottie is survived by her son, Robert C. “Neil” Dimond; a special nephew and niece, whom she helped raise, Charles Andrews and Kathy Meckley. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and her daughter-in-law, Timberlee Randolph. Dottie worked while attending school at Shaffer Stores Co. on 31st Street in Altoona. She was a graduate from Hollidaysburg High School and went on to work 37 years at Treese’s Drug Store in Hollidaysburg.

May 2, 1935 – March 13, 2021 Mar 17, 2021 Maria “Mary Ann” Weinzierl of Altoona passed away Saturday after a brief illness. She was born in Oberndorf, Bavaria, to Karolina and Max Sonnleitner. She came to America at 20 years old and met her beloved husband, Alfons Weinzierl, who preceded her in death this past November. They were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona, on May 28, 1960, and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Surviving are her two daughters, Linda Harrison of Jamison and Mary Ann (Scott) Perriello of Collegeville; five grandchildren: Kelly (Jason) Charney, Carolyne, Jim, Ryan and Abigail Maria Perriello; a great-grandchild, Jack Charney; a brother, Max Sonnleitner; and her dear cousin, Mary Jane Huber, who was like a sister to her.

Feb 18, 2021 Lisa A. Leipold, 59, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Robert E. Leipold and Connie (Moore) Leipold-Wills. Lisa is survived by her mother, Connie, and stepfather, Dale Wills, of Altoona; a sister, Kim Barthelmes of Pittsburgh; a stepsister, Tammy (Mike) Dongell of Hollidaysburg; a stepbrother, Terry Wills of Altoona; several nieces and nephews; her dear lifelong friends: Pam Gulish and Mike Zupon, including all of her friends and co-workers at Ward; and her fur babies: Flirt, Rhys, Harper, Reba, Tia and Tori. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Leipold; and all of her pets that passed before her and greeted her at The Rainbow Bridge.

Daniele Edmond D. “Chico” Daniele, 78, of Altoona, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona, following a brief illness. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Joseph Louis and Carmel Marie (Santa Croce) Daniele. Ed married Sue A. Davis on Sept. 2, 1995, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Ed is survived by his loving wife; his four children: Eric J. Stoehr, Erik C. Daniele, Yvonne M. Prevost and Yvette M. Daniele; four grandchildren: Zachary Stoehr, Zen C. Baudoux V, Chantz E. Baudoux and Samantha A. Daniele; four siblings: Daniel D. Daniels, Leonard Daniele, Jennifer M. Musser and Carolyn M. Stout. He was a graduate of Altoona High School and attended Shippensburg State College. Ed then joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.
