7 plead guilty in Columbia County case after girl s death
Parents, relatives did not seek medical in a timely fashion

HUDSON – The parents and five other relatives of a 12-year-old Austerlitz girl who died while suffering from kidney failure and pneumonia have pleaded guilty in Columbia County Court to child endangerment charges.
The girl s parents, Steven Bennett, 58, and Heidi Tranberg-Bennett, 47, were charged in early November with second-degree manslaughter 11 months after their daughter, Evanna, died at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

November 23 at 2:09 a.m., AST arrested 55-year-old Melvin George of Tazlina at the Hub gas station in Glennallen on two counts of VCOR. George was taken to GTP.
November 24 at 3:47 p.m., AST issued a summons to 78-year-old Ronald Cooper of Wasilla for Theft 4 at Three Bears in Palmer.
November 24 at 12:58 p.m., AST arrested 37-year-old Timothy Johnson of Palmer with the assistance of PPD. Johnson had an active warrant and was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest and three counts of Assault 3 on a LEO. Johnson was taken to MSPT.
November 24 at 7:28 p.m., AST in Glennallen arrested 63-year-old Jeffery Lynn Johnson of Glennallen for DUI. Johnson was taken to GTP.
