Rates are on the rise in Buckingham, Winslow and district

Lockdown is gradually lifting in Buckinghamshire and across England - but there are some areas where coronavirus cases are rising.
And although case rates have predominantly fallen across the country, there are still concerns the roadmap out of lockdown could be threatened by the Delta variant.
The latest figures show 12 out of 67 areas of Bucks saw an increase in infections in the latest seven-day period, the last week of May - including Buckingham and Winslow.

A meeting organised by a Bucks MP saw Andrew Stephenson, Minister of State in the Department of Transport, quizzed over the current HS2 development. Greg Smith, who is the MP for Buckingham, as well as local representatives, questioned Mr Stephenson over issues the major development could have on the county. Topics such as disruption, damage and other issues arising from the rail project, were all mentioned in the discussion on Monday, March 1. The night concluded in the minister committing to seriously considering having independent HS2 sheriffs - an idea mooted in January so that HS2 Ltd and contractors can be held to account.
