HS2 minister Andrew Stephenson quizzed by Bucks MP Greg Smith

A meeting organised by a Bucks MP saw Andrew Stephenson, Minister of State in the Department of Transport, quizzed over the current HS2 development. Greg Smith, who is the MP for Buckingham, as well as local representatives, questioned Mr Stephenson over issues the major development could have on the county. Topics such as disruption, damage and other issues arising from the rail project, were all mentioned in the discussion on Monday, March 1. The night concluded in the minister committing to seriously considering having independent HS2 sheriffs - an idea mooted in January so that HS2 Ltd and contractors can be held to account.
