John Lineker thinks UFC release was ‘fair’ and ‘can’t complain’: ‘I can only thank them’

Former UFC bantamweight and flyweight contender John Lineker holds no grudges over his release from the promotion back in 2019. After missing weight four times in his stint and dropping a split decision to Cory Sandhagen in his last outing for the company, ‘Hands of Stone’ was cut and promptly picked up by ONE in July of the same year.
Now with two wins under his belt at his new home, Lineker wants nothing but to become a champion in the new promotion. Before he has the chance to take on title-holder Bibiano Fernandes though, John will have to get past his next challenge, Stephen Lomar, on April 21. Nonetheless, the Brazilian tells Super Lutas that his final goal will always be to win the belt.

Mark Sangiao, the patriarch and head coach of the famed Benguet stable Team Lakay, is the epitome of that unique Igorot trait.
From his classic rags to riches journey to becoming one of the most decorated combat sports athletes and arguably the best martial arts mentor in the Philippines, the lionhearted Sangiao always believed in the heroics of his bloodline.
Another Igorot warrior from Team Lakay has expressed desire to join ONE Championship.
Jomar Pa-ac, a former fighter in the BRAVE Combat Federation, said he wanted to return to mixed martial arts soon through the Singapore-based promotion.
“It’s like the best thing to do,” Pa-ac, who holds a 6-2 record, told the
Manila Bulletin.
In the Bahrain-based promotion, the 24-year-old Team Lakay stalwart earned three wins and one loss in the flyweight division.
Pa-ac juggles his time taking law school, currently in his sophomore year at the Cordillera Career Development College in La Trinidad, Benguet, while training with Team Lakay.
