Germany s WPD to sell part of interest in 640MW project off the coast of Yunlin County 5 May 2021 |  Michael Marray French energy major Total has signed an agreement with German renewable energy developer WPD to acquire a 23% interest in Yunlin Holding, the owner of the Yunlin offshore wind farm under construction off the coast of Taiwan. The 640MW project has a 20-year guaranteed-price power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned Taiwan Power Company. Yunlin is at present 48% owned by WPD, 25% by EGCO (Electricity Generating Public Company Limited), and 27% by a consortium of Japanese investors led by Sojitz Corporation (the other Japanese investors being ENEOS Corporation, Chugoku Electric Power, Chudenko Corporation and Shikoku Electric Power).

(Representative Image/File Photo) PARIS, FRANCE: Total said it has signed an agreement with wpd to acquire a 23 percent interest in Yunlin Holding GmbH, the owner of Yunlin offshore wind farm located off the coast of Taiwan, around 200 kilometers southwest of Taipei. The project, currently under construction, represents production capacity of 640 megawatts (MW) and benefits from a 20-year guaranteed-price power purchase agreement (PPA) with the state-owned company Taipower of $250/MWh for the first 10 years and $125/MWh for the following 10 years. For this acquisition of a 23 percent interest, Total will pay to wpd a consideration based on its share of past costs.

Fremantle Oval Masterplan adopted by council

Fremantle Council has formally endorsed the $37 million plan to redevelop the historic Fremantle Oval. The Fremantle Oval Redevelopment Masterplan was prepared by the City of Fremantle in collaboration with South Fremantle Football Club, Fremantle Football Club and the WA Football Commission, with assistance from the state government’s Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. Fremantle Deputy Mayor Andrew Sullivan said now that the council has formally adopted the plan the project partners could begin seeking the funding required to bring the project to fruition. “The redevelopment of Fremantle Oval has been one of the top priorities for the City of Fremantle for many years, and it’s fantastic to also have the South Fremantle Football Club, Fremantle Football Club and the WA Football Commission throwing their support behind this Masterplan,” Cr Sullivan said.
