A construction worker is electrocuted during a crane collapse in Ft. Lauderdale. It happened when a crane hit a high-transmission Florida Power and Light line in the 300 block of Southwest 2nd Street. The impact sent about 138-thousand electricity volts into the ground creating a small explosion on the asphalt. Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Stephen Gollan says two cars were also damaged, but luckily, no one was on the street at the time. Southwest 2nd will be closed for the rest of the day as the investigation continues.
