Macon man arrested after shot fired By Dispatch Staff Reports • 13 hours ago Shad Reese A Macon man has been arrested after allegedly discharging a firearm and fleeing police. According to a press release from Starkville Police Department, officers heard a gunshot around 8:05 a.m. Saturday from the area of America’s Best Value Inn & Suites, located at the intersection of Highway 12 and South Montgomery Street. The officers pursued a vehicle spotted fleeing the scene. The driver of the vehicle attempted to evade officers and was located with the assistance of vigilant citizens. Suspect Shad Reese, 22, was arrested on foot and charged with aggravated assault and possession with intent to distribute. There were no injuries reported.
