One court heard of two homophobic neighbours who threatened a man with a meat cleaver, a claw hammer and a boiling kettle.
Joao Alves and Ivan Bonaparte were hauled before the court after they said they would kill their neighbour, with Bonaparte adding it would be one less gay in the world .

Spalding couple celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

A Spalding couple, who met completely by chance, have celebrated 70 years of marriage - with a special congratulations from the Queen.
Doris and Gordon (âDonâ) Penfold celebrated their Platinum wedding anniversary on February 17, and were amazed to receive a card from Buckingham Palace to mark this milestone occasion.
âIt was a surprise!â Doris said. âI thought you only got a card from the Queen for your 100th birthday.â
Doris and Don Penfold of Spalding, who have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a card from the Queen.
The special delivery was organised by their daughter Mandy Thomas (59) who lives in Whaplode.

Alagie Karl Mbye, 39, of Stathern Walk, Grantham: admits assault by beating in Grantham on December 13, 2020. He was made the subject of a community order including 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Zsolt Csipak, 32, of Goodliff Road, Grantham: admits driving a Renault vehicle in High Street, Grantham, on June 29, 2020 while using a hand-held mobile phone. He was fined £220, ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs and his driving licence endorsed with six penalty points.
