Fox O&O KCPQ Seattle has added Alyssa Charlston as a weekend sports anchor/reporter. She joins from KXLY Spokane, Wash., on June 1.
Charlston’s desire to tell stories and learn about people through sports began in college while playing basketball for the University of Idaho where she was a two-time first team All-Conference and two-time Capital One Academic All-America.
She then played basketball professionally in Luxembourg immediately after college. Her team won the national championship in Luxembourg in her solo season overseas, and she traveled all over Europe on her days off.

The Oregon Ducks lost an 8-5 thriller Sunday afternoon against the Stanford Cardinal. In a game that had heavy Pac-12 implications, the Ducks offense went cold for the final 9 innings of play and ultimately cost the Ducks some ground in an intense Pac-12 title race.
The first third of the game was all Oregon. Stanford starter Quinn Matthews only lasted a third of an inning as he struggled with command and loaded the bases. The Ducks were only to score one from that opportunity but got plenty more chances to tack on runs as the game continued.
Aaron Zavala knocked in a pair with a single, and Josh Kasevich hit a solo shot to extend Oregon’s lead to 4. Tanner Smith continued his stellar campaign, as he broke the single-season Oregon record for doubles in a season which pushed the Duck’s lead to 5. The former Stanford Cardinal wide receiver decided to enter the 2021 NFL Draft after a breakout junior season. During his six-game abbreviated year, Fehoko tallied 37 receptions for 574 yards with three receiving touchdowns, which earned him First-Team All Pac-12 honors.
D.C. United signs Loudoun United midfielder Drew Skundrich to MLS deal

D.C. United today announced that midfielder Drew Skundrich, who signed with the club’s USL affiliate Loudoun United this winter, has been signed to an MLS deal. Skundrich, 25, has signed a one-year deal with options for 2022 and 2023.
In a team press release, United president of soccer operations and sporting director Dave Kasper said “We have been impressed with Drew throughout his time with D.C. United in preseason. He has been consistently training with us and already has experience playing in Hernan’s system. Drew is a versatile midfielder and his work rate on the field fits our high tempo playing style. We are excited about Drew joining the Black-and-Red and we’re looking forward to integrating him into the roster ahead of the matches this weekend.”
