DAVIESS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - The Society of St. Vincent dePaul’s rental assistance program is being pushed to its limits as the number of people in need of assistance grows.
According to the organization’s CEO Richard Remp-Morris, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced people who had previously been in good financial standing to seek help.
“We’re seeing people who have never needed help before,” he said. “We’re, what, about nine months into the pandemic, so savings and other things that folks had, they’re using it up.”
