Scarborough OAT venue programmer Peter Taylor said: “We absolutely love Kaiser Chiefs and Oh My God remains as brilliant and as fresh today as when it was released in 2004.
“We thought it would be great to mark the anniversary of the band’s debut single by holding a special ticket treasure hunt. We will hide 17 pairs of tickets around beautiful Peasholm Park on Sunday. All fans need to do is find them!
“On top of that, within the envelopes containing the tickets, will be details of how fans can get to the front on the night of the show – so get hunting and good luck!”

80s icons Boy George and Culture Club have confirmed a North East gig this summer.
The pop legends responsible for some of the decades biggest hit have confirmed they will play Scarborough Open Air Theatre this August.
Global icon Boy George and Culture Club will play Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Saturday, August 14. Boy George, together with his chart-topping band, are rightly recognised as one of the first true, unapologetic innovators in the music and fashion world. Since their inception in 1981, Culture Club have sold more than 150 million records worldwide and are recognised as a true Grammy Award winning UK institution. Their 2021 line-up – which sees Boy George perform alongside original Culture Club members Roy Hay and Mikey Craig. Scarborough OAT venue programmer Peter Taylor said: “I’ve wanted to bring Boy George and Culture Club to Scarborough OAT for some time so I’m delighted we have been able to make this happen for this summer.

Despite this inauspicious start, the railway quickly became popular with locals and tourists alike. “To begin with there was only one locomotive, Neptune, and five coaches and it proved so popular they bought the second locomotive, Triton, the following year, and another set of five coaches,” says Steve.

Two more diesel hydraulic locomotives were added, built by Hudswell Clarke of Leeds in the 1930s, and all are still in working order.
The narrow-gauge system runs between Peasholm Park and Scalby Mills, mainly carrying tourists and is just shy of a mile long, taking you through parkland, past the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, and up the hill towards Scalby Mills Station with sea views on one side taking in North Bay and Scarborough Castle.
