Scottsdale, Arizona (KPHO/KTVK) Culinary Dropout in the Scottsdale Quarter now has four domes for customers to dine-in safely outside.
The Desert Domes sit two to six people and were installed on Jan. 29 as an addition to their patio dining experience.
The domes are in what normally would be the valet area.
“Our new Desert Dome dining option is perfect for guests who are more comfortable dining outdoors or who want a more private experience,” said Ryan Justesen, general manager of Culinary Dropout. “We’re so excited to bring this unique desert oasis to life.”

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - One Valley restaurant is hoping to bring more hungry customers back to their tables amid the pandemic by building outdoor domes for private dining.
Culinary Dropout, an eatery with locations across the Phoenix metro area, is building Desert Domes outside of their Scottsdale Quarter location to make people feel safer eating out.
So far, the phone calls asking for reservations have been nonstop, according to Ryan Justesen, manager for Culinary Dropout at the Scottsdale Quarter.
Gov. Ducey Adds Another Million to SORAP
On December 2, Governor Doug Ducey introduced a grant program called the Safest Outside Restaurant Assistance Program (SORAP). It started with $1 million, then $2 million more was added on January 5, and now another $1 million was added to the program, which aims to increase outdoor dining. Restaurants and bars with less than 50 employees may now apply through March 5 for up to $10,000 to expand their patio seating.
