Any parent who chooses to exempt his/her child from kindergarten must meet with the local school principal to complete exemption papers. Aaron Crook Reports COVID Cases at Ridgefield High School and Scotland Elementary Written by HH COVID Cases Reported at RHS and SES Aaron Crook reported that on Saturday evening the District learned that a member of the Ridgefield High School community has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was in the RHS building while potentially infectious to others from Monday, January 25th through January 29th. Contact tracing for this case has been completed. Today, Sunday, January 31, the District learned that a member of the Scotland Elementary School community has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was in the SES building while potentially infectious to others on Monday, January 25th. This individual has a known source of infection outside of the SES building. Contact tracing for the case has been completed.

Written by RPS School Status Our communication this Wednesday indicated that our elementary schools will return in full beginning on Monday, February 1.  We reminded families that it is important to be prepared to shift learning models as we navigate these complex times.  Our next update is planned for February 3. Health and Safety  With Monday’s planned return to full in-person instruction at the elementary level, we will continue to closely monitor cases of COVID-19 if and when they appear. We evaluate each case to better understand the potential source of exposure, and if we determine that an active outbreak is occurring due to in school transmission we will respond accordingly.
