Dumbarton FC: Ross Forbes inspires play-off first leg win over Edinburgh City
Dumbarton came from behind to beat Edinburgh City 3-1 in the first leg of the SPFL League Two play-off final at Ainslie Park on Monday (Photo - Andy Scott) Ross Forbes created all of Dumbarton’s goals as the Sons took command of the Scottish League One play-off final with a 3-1 away win over Edinburgh City on Monday night. Jim Duffy’s side came from behind to seal a deserved victory which was engineered by the cultured left foot of former Motherwell and Morton midfielder Forbes. The 32-year-old forced the first save at Ainslie Park with a deflected effort but the hosts took the lead in some style a minute before the end of a tight first half.
‘No’: Peter Crouch says ‘outstanding’ manager won’t be taking the Tottenham job

Peter Crouch has suggested that he cannot see Steven Gerrard being Tottenham Hotspur’s new manager in the Daily Mail.
Tottenham have been linked with the Glasgow Rangers boss, following his impressive achievements at Ibrox.
Gerrard has helped Rangers end Celtic’s spell of dominance and has led them to an unbeaten season this time around.
There is an expectation that Gerrard will end up in the Premier League one day, but Crouch doesn’t believe that a move to Tottenham will appeal to the 40-year-old manager.
