Martin Kettle’s article on Rishi Sunak and Nicola Sturgeon (Nicola Sturgeon and Rishi Sunak were both playing for Scotland’s future, 3 March) was thoughtful, but he reinforces the oft-repeated UK media narrative that Sturgeon’s popularity during the pandemic is solely due to her presentational skills, in referring to “Sturgeon’s successful presentation of herself as Scotland’s national crisis manager”.
NICOLA STURGEON is no longer integral to Scotland s independence bid, as a break-away referendum is almost inevitable with or without her, an expert in Scottish politics claimed.
The Government admitted its handling of the investigation had been unlawful, leading to Mr Salmond claiming a plot had been hatched to discredit him.
Although not calling for the First Minister to resign, Mr Salmond said his successor had broken the ministerial code by misleading Parliament.
Mr Ross: There is a huge amount of evidence that she has misled Parliament and the people of Scotland. Nicola Sturgeon has to do the right thing and resign.
