FRIENDS and family gathered to celebrate the lives of two-much loved fathers who tragically died earlier this year. A charity football match was held in Pollok yesterday afternoon to raise funds in memory of Scott Docherty and Edward McEwan, who both took their own lives at the age of 32 and 28, respectively. The event was held at Hillwood FC’s grounds in Priesthill and was organised by lifelong pal Michael Mackay, his partner Lauren Ferguson and his mum Grace and Lauren’s brother Paul. And thanks to everyone’s generosity, more than £3000 was netted for a mental health charity. “We had bouncy castles, burger vans, a tombola with toys for the kids, a huge raffles -– one of the biggest I’ve ever seen, with prizes like signed Celtic tops and fitness kit,” said Michael.
