PHILADELPHIA - A few lingering showers moved out of the region overnight and will lead to a pleasant Saturday with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.
Bright sunshine during the morning hours on Saturday will help temperatures shoot back into the 80s. The high in Philadelphia and surrounding areas is expected to reach the mid-80s.
Conditions will skew slightly cooler along the coast of New Jersey with temperatures expected in the upper-70s and low-80s with an afternoon sea breeze.

Weather Authority: Tropical Storm Warnings in place for coastal NJ, Del as Elsa moves through region

PHILADELPHIA - Tropical Storm Elsa will roll across the Delaware Valley overnight with heavy downpours and intense winds that will last through the morning.
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for coastal New Jersey and Delaware as the brunt of Elsa moves up the coast. Shore towns can expect to see 2-3 inches of rainfall and wind gusts between 40-50 MPH.
Southeastern Pennsylvania and interior New Jersey will remain under a Flash Flood Watch overnight as steady rainfall will become more intense by the early morning hours. Areas near the coast can expect to see more than 2 inches of rain while western New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania will see an inch or less.
PORTAGEÂ â The City Council plans to take its proposed smoking ban in for major surgery, with significant changes to debut in August.
Council Vice President Scott Williams, D-3rd, said the Ordinance Committee plans to revise the proposed ordinance to allow certain businesses and membership clubs to decide on their own whether to ban smoking. Restrictions will be recommended for government-owned property, however.
Mark Oprisko said his bar, Mark O Bar & Grill, went smokefree for six months, but the experiment was a flop. âIf this ban was to happen, I would lose probably 50% of my business,â he said. The building could be sold, but the liquor license and equipment âwould go to zilch,â he added.
