Ambridge School Board candidates stress budget concerns, transparency

AMBRIDGE – The ballot for the Ambridge Area School Board election looks a little different this year. As opposed to voting for school board members for the traditional four-year term, an additional two-year term will also be listed. Essentially, voters are able to vote for four candidates for the four-year term, and three for the special two-year term. Residents can vote for the same candidates on both the four and two-year sections if desired. All the candidates are cross-filing, running for both parties in this election, except for Kathleen Curtis, a Democrat. Incumbents Scott Angus, Charles Campalong, Curtis, Denise Manganello, William Metz Jr., and Valerie Young and are hoping to return as school board members.
