Part of larger $387 package for Square Kilometre Array telescope.
The federal government has earmarked $64.3 million for the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre in Perth for a data processing facility for the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope.
Pawsey will be allocated the funding as part of a larger, 10-year, $387 million package agreed on last year for the SKA.
Of that, $301.4 million will be spent on the construction and operation of the SKA, minister for industry, science and technology Christian Porter said.
Of the remainder, $64.3 million will go to Pawsey and $15.6 million to on-site readiness and fibre-optic network connections.

These rankings will be updated after major sport karate tournaments and do not belong to any singular league, but may assist in matchmaking for future professional events. Those ranked as Champion are the current defending champions from the 2019 ISKA US Open World Championships. These rankings have been adjusted to account for age changes in the upcoming season and inactivity in late 2019 and early 2020.
JSC unveils choices for SCA judicial posts Updated

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has unveiled its choice of judges to fill five vacant posts at the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) in Bloemfontein.
The announcement was made on Thursday following the much-publicised interview sessions for the roles at the SCA and the Constitutional Court this week.
The JSC’s five choices for the SCA are Judges Zeenat Carelse, Trevor Gorven, Wendy Hughes, Nolwazi Mabindla Boqwana, and Selewe Mothle. Overall, 11 judges were in the running for the coveted posts.
These names will now be referred to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
