A brave nurse who took her own life after struggling to cope when she lost three limbs to sepsis has been laid to rest following a horse-drawn procession through her home town.
People lined the streets to say farewell to Jayne Carpenter, 53, ahead of her funeral today at St Tydfil s Old Parish Church in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
Jayne, who campaigned to highlight the dangers of sepsis, continued to dance and keep-fit using metal prosthetic legs that caused terrible pain and infections.
Her heartbroken husband Rob, 56, said she would have loved having four black horses for her funeral procession.

While animal rights supporters condemned the use of animal fat in the new fiver s production, treasure-hunters greeted the new note with cheer. Rare £5 notes featuring low or unusual serial numbers have sold for hundreds of pounds, with some even selling for thousands.
