Shoppers queue in the rain on Bank Holiday Monday
Shoppers queued for an hour to get into the Trafford Centre during a grey and miserable Bank Holiday Monday.
Some even waited in the rain, with signs in the car park saying the centre was full as people tried to get a space.
One shopper who queued up claimed social distancing wasn t being observed.
The Trafford Centre said customer safety is its highest priority , and that strict capacity limits are observed within the venue.

Gym+Coffee- An athleisure brand (opening 17 April)
Polestar- A car showroom
Chopstix- Noodle Bar
Rituals- cosmetics store
Pop Specs- Ophthalmic service
Aldo- Shoe store

Can we eat at Trafford Centre restaurants?
(Photo: Trafford Centre) Dining-in at restaurants and indoor entertainment venues isn’t allowed until 17 May at the earliest. However, a wide range of restaurants, such as Tampopo, Five Guys, Archie’s, Barburrito and Slim Chickens, will be offering a takeaway service from 12 April - with visitors welcome to enjoy their food and drink on one of the centre’s many outdoor areas.
