The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday resumed the trial in the alleged mismanagement of N100million scholarship funds by the immediate past chairperson of the Kwara State Scholarship Board, Hajia Fatimoh Yusuf, and two other principal officers of the Board.
The EFCC produced a prosecution witness, Lawal Abdulwahab, who told Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin that he never saw the list of the beneficiaries of the 2018 bursary allowances.

The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mohammed Umar Abba, on Tuesday, honoured the commission’s zonal offices that distinguished themselves in its mandate areas in 2020.
The Head, Media and Publicity of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, informed that the Ibadan Zonal Office was rewarded with an award of excellence for posting the highest number of convictions. The office secured a total of 292 last year.
Lagos Zonal Office followed Ibadan zonal office with 227 convictions, while the Port Harcourt Zonal Office came third with 106 convictions.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Thursday confirmed that a tanker conveying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) on Thursday morning fell and went into flames on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Lagos State.
Acting Zonal Coordinator, South West Zonal Office, NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, who confirmed the incident to NAN said that development caused panic among commuters plying the route.
Farinloye who disclosed that no casualty had been confirmed yet from the incident said the tanker was loaded with 44,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
He noted that the incident occurred about 9.15 a.m., at Toyota Bus Stop, close to the Oshodi-Airport Road junction and directly in front of the Lagos State Fire Service Station located in the area.
