DEANNE JOHNSON
LISBON A young Salineville man who robbed a Salem councilman in a public city building last fall pleaded guilty to the single charge he was facing in Common Pleas Court on Friday.
Jason S. Ramsey, 19, Walnut Street, Salineville, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.
Ramsey requested immediate sentencing and Judge Scott Washam sentenced him to an indefinite term of three years in prison. He could serve up to four and a half years. Ramsey was credited with 124 days served already toward that sentence.
On Nov. 2, Ramsey had brandished a knife at Salem Councilman Steve Faber in the Salem Memorial Building and had used a note to order Faber to take him to the bank and withdraw money for him. Ramsey had threatened to stab Faber or kill people he knows.
