New Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has registered his marriage to a Newcastle jazz lover who is the mother of two of his children, according to news reports.
Citing documents from the department of home affairs, Independent Media and Daily Sun reported he wed Ntokozo Mayisela, 36, in a civil union last Thursday. The Witness reported on Monday that a royal family delegation had visited Newcastle for lobola negotiations.
The couple is believed to have two sons aged nine and three.

Durban - A batch of legal documents from Home Affairs confirms that the new Zulu King, Misuzulu kaZwelithini, was married last Thursday, a day before his mother Queen Regent Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu was âplantedâ (buried).
The marriage, to Ntokozo Mayisela, 36, who is the mother of his two children, is likely to end claims in some quarters in the Zulu royal family that he could not ascend to throne as he was not married.

Prince MisuZulu was named next in line to take the throne, by his mother, Queen Mantfombi in her will, which was read out publicly on Friday, 7 May 2021, just hours after her official provincial memorial service was held at KwaKhangelamankengane Royal Palace in KZN.
Queen Mantfombi had been appointed Regent to the Zulu nation by her late husband, King Goodwill Zwelithini in his will, following his passing back in March – tasking her with choosing the next leader of the monarchy.
