Parks and Recreation officials are reminding the public that they have some great options to cool off with the hot temperatures expected during the Independence Day weekend. Outdoor pools like Horace Mann, Parkview, and Jimmy Hilton Pool at Sioux Park will be open. The 50 meter pool at the Roosevelt Swim Center will be open as well. Pools will be open from noon to 6 p.m. daily, including Independence Day on Sunday as well as Monday. The Roosevelt will be open, but will close at 6 p.m. with no family swim Sunday evening. Attendance at the pools this summer has grown two to four times the number of daily participants as compared to the same time in 2019.
