Jodie Comer in Killing Eve
BBC America drama series Killing Eve, starring Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, will end after its forthcoming fourth season.
The final season of Killing Eve will begin production this summer before airing on AMC- and BBC Studios-owned BBC America in the US and BBC1 and BBC iPlayer in the UK in 2022.
Produced by Sid Gentle Films, Killing Eve first debuted on BBC America in the US and on BBC iPlayer and BBC3 in the UK in 2018. The broadcasters and producers are exploring potential spin-offs from the series, according to Variety.
Based on the Villanelle novel series by Luke Jennings, the thriller follows British intelligence investigator Eve (Oh), who is tasked with capturing psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Comer). As the chase progresses, the two develop a mutual obsession.

Laura Neal of ‘Sex Education’ fame is lead writer for the fourth season, continuing the tradition of a new writer every season
Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer-starrer spy thriller “Killing Eve” will be concluding with its upcoming fourth season.
The announcement was made by AMC Network in a statement posted on its official website on Tuesday.
Killing Eve is set to return for a fourth and final season
Critically acclaimed BBC drama Killing Eve will be wrapping up with its final season.
The hit TV series was renewed for a fourth season in January 2020, but filming for the series was delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Production for the new season is expected to begin in early summer across the UK and in various European locations. Similar to previous seasons, season 4 will have a total of 8 episodes.
The first season of the cat and mouse thriller was written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge while season two was handed over Emerald Fennell, and season three was mastered by TV writer Suzanne Heathcote.

After being renewed for a 4th season in January 2020, production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The BBC America series is a cat-and-mouse thriller that follows Eve (played by Sandra Oh), a British Intelligence spy, and Villanelle (played by Jodie Comer), an international assassin. It also stars Fiona Shaw.
