Sitharaman holds meeting via virtual mode with David Malpass
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday lauded the World Bank Group (WBG) for its initiative to increase lending space for India to enhance availability of finance for development.
In her interaction via virtual mode with World Bank Group President David Malpass, the Union Finance Minister discussed various issues, including the WBG’s lending envelop for India; the country’s ongoing Covid-19 vaccination drive, economic recovery and India’s strategy of green resilient and inclusive development.
The COVID-19 testing procedures have been updated for passengers arriving at Sharjah International Airport.
Travellers must carry a negative PCR test result taken not more than 72 hours before the date of travel.
Previously the validity was 96 hours.
Passengers are also required to take another test upon arrival in Sharjah.
According to Sharjah s Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team (ECDMT), the latest decision will come into effect five days after its publication.

During the latest government media briefing, the authority s Director-General, Saeed Mohammed Al Nazari, called on the country s youth to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
He also urged them to continue to adhere to the laws and guidelines after taking the vaccine, in order to achieve full recovery.
