Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir gave the reaction on Sunday night after talking to the doctors at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka where Khaleda is undergoing treatment.
Fakhrul said it appeared to him that the party chief’s health was improving.
The 76-year-old former prime minister was admitted to the hospital on Apr 27 after she tested positive for the coronavirus on Apr 11. She has underlying health conditions.

The medical board treating Khaleda Zia for COVID-19 will decide on her better treatment abroad once the government approves the BNP chief’s foreign trip, one of her personal physicians has said. );

Professor AZM Zahid Hossain told reporters outside Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on Friday night that the former prime minister was in a “stable condition”.
“It depends on the government when they will allow her to travel abroad. The hospital’s medical board will take the next decision once we get the approval,” he said, asked whether her health will allow her to fly now.

Law Minister Anisul Huq is reviewing an appeal by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s family to let her fly abroad for better treatment. );

After Law Secretary Golam Sarwar took the appeal documents to Huq’s office in Gulshan following some formalities on Thursday afternoon, the minister said he would scrutinise the seriousness of the application and provide his opinion soon.
