BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, now undergoing treatment for Covid-19, was moved to the coronary care unit of Evercare Hospital in the city yesterday with breathing difficulties. The medical board examines Khaleda almost every day and also reviews the results of those conducted.
On Tuesday night, the former prime minister was admitted to the capital s Evercare Hospital under cardiologist Shahabuddin Talukdar.
Zahid said once all the tests are carried out, the reports will be reviewed and the medical board will decide her treatment plan accordingly.
The physician said as she was taken to hospital after a long time, doctors want to do all the necessary and regular medical tests.
The BNP chief has been suffering from arthritis, diabetics and ophthalmological problems.
Khaleda tested Covid-19 positive on April 11 and in the follow-up test on April 24, she tested positive again.
She was admitted under cardiologist Shahabuddin Talukdar.
Zahid said most of her tests have been done and only a few are remaining. Those will be completed soon. Then all the reports will be reviewed and the treatment plan will be decided, he said.
Zahid said as she was taken to hospital after a long time, doctors want to do all the necessary and regular medical tests.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who recently tested positive for Covid-19, needs to stay at the hospital for two more days as all her medical tests are yet to be completed.
AZM Zahid Hossain, Khaleda s physician, yesterday told The Daily Star that her routine medical check-up was due for more than a year now and it would take some time to be completed.
The BNP chairperson was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital on Tuesday night. Cardiologist Shahabuddin Talukdar was taking care of her health.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who recently tested positive for Covid-19, is physically stable and her lungs are in good condition, said her doctor.
The former prime minister was hospitalised for her routine medical check-up which was due for more than a year and a half. As madam [Khaleda] was taken to hospital for CT scan, doctors suggested a comprehensive medical check-up as it was due for more than one and half years, her personal physician AZM Zahid Hossain told The Daily Star.
