No registration is required if you want to walk. Masks are required. The march will leave the Freedom Center at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
The following streets will be closed Monday from 9:30 a.m. until noon for the march:
Ted Berry Way closed between Rosa Parks Street and the Suspension Bridge
Rosa Parks Street/Vine Street closed between Ted Berry Way and Seventh St
Freedom Way closed between Elm Street and Marian Spencer Way
Race Street closed between Seventh Street and Freedom Way

Liv Redpath was an Edina eighth-grader when that fairy-tale character who s seduced by a witch s giant gingerbread house convinced her to become an opera singer. She sang the role at age 14 in a production of Engelbert Humperdinck s Hansel and Gretel staged by Minnesota Opera s youth program, Project Opera. After I sang that Gretel, I was totally hooked, she said last week.

Bluffton University’s music department will give the 125th performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, via livestream at www.bluffton.edu/mus.
Soloists are Erin Keesy, soprano; Lauren McAllister, mezzo-soprano; Jason Vest, tenor; and Robert Kerr, baritone.

Keesy has made solo appearances with the Cincinnati POPS orchestra, the Louisville Orchestra, Butler Philharmonic, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.
She also performed as a young artist with Cincinnati Opera. Keesy made her international solo debut last year in Seoul, South Korea, singing the soprano solos in Mendelssohn’s “Elijah” with the Seoul Oratorio Festival.
