The UK Labour Party s decision to appoint a former Israel spy to work in his social media team demonstrates its leaders complete submission to the Zionist lobby , a UK-based human rights group has said.
The Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) criticised the appointment of Assaf Kaplan, who worked as an analyst and officer in Unit 8200 of the Israeli Military Intelligence between 2009-2013, where he monitored, collected, and analysed information on all Palestinian, regardless of their status.
SIR KEIR STARMER is being called on to “come clean” about the alleged hiring of a former Israeli “cyber spy” as his office’s social media manager.
Suspended and expelled Labour members are challenging the party’s leader to explain how Assaf Kaplan was hired and how much Sir Keir knew about his background working for Israeli intelligence.
Mr Kaplan served in the cyber warfare unit of Israeli intelligence, which, in 2014, was alleged to be using information on Palestinians for the purposes of extortion and blackmail, the Electronic Intifada has reported.
The Labour in Exile Network (LIEN) group claimed that Mr Kaplan has tried to track LIEN’s activities by following the group on Facebook and Twitter.

Senior UK Labour Party figures have reacted with anger and dismay to the organisation s decision to recruit an Israeli former military intelligence officer as one of its social media managers.
Assaf Kaplan, who served with the Israeli army s signals intelligence and surveillance agency known as Unit 8200, was recruited last year to work in the office of the party leader, Keir Starmer.
While Unit 8200 is the counterpart of civilian-run agencies in the West such as the National Security Agency in the US and the UK s GCHQ, it has faced fierce criticism for its role in maintaining close surveillance of the Palestinian civilian population.
