Public Health Sudbury and Districts reported 41 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
The health unit also said the number of active cases increased by 25: 263 cases compared to 238 recorded on Sunday.

Five of the new cases tested positive for a COVID-19 variant.
Forty of the new cases are in Greater Sudbury and one is in the District of Sudbury.
Since the pandemic began a year ago, Public Health has recorded 1,740 cases; 1,477 of those cases have been resolved.
So far, 23 people in the Sudbury area have died because of COVID-19.
