Tuesday, April 20 1:03 p.m.: A sick or injured turkey was reported on Treaty Elm Lane.

Public notices: Popular footpaths set to temporarily close

They include a popular route linking Stanway and Layer De La Haye. Footpath 31, in Stanway, is shutting from its junction with Olivers Lane through to footpath four, in Layer. It will close from Saturday and is due to reopen next Friday, while works are carried out to Chest Wood B Footbridge. Colchester’s footpath 100 is closing on Saturday, from its junction with Wells Road. It will remain shut until April 2 while the Wells Road footbridge is repaired and the alternative route will take in Highfields Lane and Guildford Road. A footpath has closed in Dedham. Footpath 22 has shut between the sports pavilion and Duchy Barn Shed.
