Cecil A. Stevens, longtime owner of the Summit Inn at the top of the Cajon Pass, dies at 88
Victorville Daily Press
Cecil Alvin Stevens also known as C.A. wasn’t just the owner of a piece of High Desert history, he was part of it.
On top of being the longtime proprietor of the Summit Inn, Stevens also helped name the nearby community the diner served.
As he told the Daily Press in 2016, Stevens served as chairman of a water board in the late-1970s. The board had sent out a questionnaire that asked residents for suggestions on what to call a newly formed area within the county.
