SHREVEPORT, La. - Shreveport police responded to the call of a shooting at the 2100 block of Portland Ave. just before 1:00 a.m. to find one 15-year-old boy had been shot multiple times.
According to officers, three boys were walking along Portland Avenue when someone got out of a silver car that pulled up behind the boys and started shooting at them and hitting one 15 year old multiple times.
Police estimated around 15 to 20 fired shots.
Police say there is no suspect, the investigation is ongoing. -

Shreveport Police on the Hunt for Domestic Abuse Suspect
On the day of May 10th, a man named Lynn Armstrong was accused of battering his domestic partner during a home invasion. Now Shreveport Police are actively trying to hunt him down.
Detectives now have warrants for the arrest of the suspected domestic abuser. The warrants are charging Lynn Armstrong (5-29-1980) with the crimes of Home Invasion, Aggravated Assault with Firearm, Simple Battery, Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, and Criminal Property Damage.

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Louisiana House voted in favor of a bill Tuesday that would have a major impact on the Shreveport Police Department.
House Bill 121, sponsored by Rep. Alan Seabaugh, R-Shreveport, passed 73 to 16. It would allow the department to create two-12 hour shifts instead of the normal three-eight hour shifts.Â
The measure has faced fierce opposition from the police union.
The measure now goes to the Senate.
